The alarm that makes sure you’re awake.
The wake-up system for people who cannot rely on sound.
A multisensory alarm with wake checks and rechecks.
More ways to wake. More confidence that it worked.
The problem
Your alarm went off. Did you?
Conventional alarms assume that sound is sufficient. That assumption fails when someone cannot hear the alarm, sleeps through it, dismisses it without becoming fully responsive, or needs a quiet way to wake.
Deaf and hard of hearing
May sleep without hearing devices, and need a wake system that does not depend on sound at all.
Deep sleepers
May hear an alarm and dismiss it automatically, without ever really waking.
Shift workers
Sleep at unusual times, and need more confidence than a single sound provides.
Quiet wakers
Need personal vibration or visual cues that do not disturb anyone else in the room.
A phone can activate correctly while still failing to wake the person. The real question is not whether the alarm went off. It is whether the alarm produced a confirmed response.
How it works
Don’t just set an alarm. Set a Wake Plan.
A Wake Plan is the whole strategy for one alarm: which signals fire, which check you have to complete, what happens if you don’t, and whether you get asked again a few minutes later.
-
Create an Alarm
Time, repeat days, label, and the Wake Plan it should use.
-
Configure a Wake Plan
Choose your Wake Signals, a primary Awake Check, a required Backup Awake Check, a Wake Recheck and escalation.
-
Run a Readiness Check
Test every enabled signal on this device before you rely on it. Nothing is assumed to work.
-
The alarm activates
Your signals fire together and escalate if nothing responds.
-
Complete an Awake Check
A deliberate task, not a dismiss button. The alarm ends when the check is completed.
-
Answer the Wake Recheck
A short second confirmation minutes later. Miss it and the alarm restarts.
-
Read the Wake Record
What actually happened: activated, responded, confirmed, rechecked, escalated, missed or overridden.
Wake Signals
Feel it. See it. Hear it. Confirm it.
You build a combination that suits you. There is no separate accessibility mode to switch into — everyone builds their wake-up the same way, from the same parts.
Feel it
Strong vibration patterns, with escalating intensity if nothing responds.
See it
Full-screen high-contrast visual alert, a temporary screen-brightness increase where permitted, and camera flash where it is technically reliable.
Hear it
Sound is optional. It is one signal among several, never the one the product depends on.
Escalate it
Wake Escalation restarts and strengthens your signals when no response is detected.
Awake Checks
A check takes more attention than a dismiss button.
An Awake Check is a deliberate task you complete to end the alarm. Every Wake Plan also carries a Backup Awake Check, and falls back to it automatically if the primary one is unavailable — so a check can never leave you trapped with an alarm you cannot stop.
Hold to Confirm
Hold a large button continuously. The simplest and most accessible check, and the weakest evidence of deliberate wakefulness.
Tap Challenge
Complete a short tap sequence or tap moving targets. More attention than a dismiss button, and no camera needed.
QR Wake Point
Scan a code you have placed away from the bed. The strongest check available, because it can require you to get up.
Override
A manual escape that requires a deliberate hold and is written into your Wake Record. Firm, never punitive.
What ProveAwake does not claim
ProveAwake does not guarantee that it will wake every person in every condition, and it never will. No alarm can honestly make that promise, and an alarm marketed on one is the wrong thing to trust with a morning that matters.
What it offers instead is more ways to wake, and evidence about whether they worked. A completed Awake Check confirms that a deliberate action was performed — not a mental or medical state. Signals that may fail are described as such: a flash alert cannot work through a covered phone, and the app says so rather than letting you find out at 6am.
Every signal and check can be tested with a Readiness Check before you depend on it.
Privacy
Your morning stays on your phone.
There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no server. Alarms, Wake Plans, Wake Points and Wake Records are written to private storage on your device and never transmitted. Camera checks are processed on the device, and no photo or video is ever saved or sent.
The only thing that leaves your phone is whether you have paid for ProveAwake Plus. Read the full privacy policy.
Free and Plus
The wake-up itself is not the paywall.
Basic accessibility functionality is not locked behind a subscription. If you cannot rely on sound, ProveAwake is useful to you without paying.

- Vibration and visual signals
- Optional sound

- Wake Records
ProveAwake Plus
Available as a subscription or a one-time purchase.
- Unlimited alarms
